Meet the Team

  • Saori Imaizumi

    FOUNDER and CEO

    Saori is the founder and CEO of Bloom Human Capital Strategy, a consulting firm dedicated to unlocking the full potential of individuals and organizations by fostering environments where everyone can thrive. With over 13 years of experience at the World Bank, Saori worked across Africa and South Asia in skills assessment, capacity building, and institutional strengthening. She also specialized in organizational effectiveness at Accenture Japan and corporate strategy at The Pokémon Company International, where she gained valuable insights into diversity and inclusion.

    In addition to her consulting work, Saori offers cross-border career coaching to help professionals from international development pivot to the private sector, entrepreneurship, or vice versa. She helps individuals uncover their hidden passions and identify transferable skills to navigate career transitions with confidence and purpose.

    Saori is passionate about leveraging the 5Kosei Emotional Alignment Tool to help individuals and teams deepen their self-understanding and align their talents with organizational goals. Her approach centers on transforming individuals first to drive lasting change within teams and organizations.

    She holds a master’s degree in development economics and international business relations from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. Outside of her professional life, Saori is a mother of two young daughters and enjoys hiking, singing, and cooking with her family.

  • Fumie Kashihara

    MANAGING DIRECTOR

    Fumi was born and raised in Japan and began her career at Microsoft Japan. She later transitioned to the U.S. office, where she spent more than 20 years shaping her career. Fumi’s early work focused on software licensing and policy management, where she delivered training programs for Microsoft’s global offices. Her passion for working more closely with people led her to move into Human Resources, where she applied her strategic insights to recruiting marketing.

    Fumi’s deep commitment to fostering inclusive environments led her to take on the role of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Manager at Microsoft, where she drove corporate culture transformation and promoted diversity at all levels. Her experience in organizational change, cross-cultural management, and her dedication to people and culture have made her an essential part of Bloom's work in transforming organizations and empowering individuals to thrive.

    At Bloom Human Capital Strategy, Fumi develops and delivers training, consulting, and coaching alongside Saori. Drawing from her extensive experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and organizational transformation, Fumi works to create environments where teams and individuals can align with their authentic selves, unlock their full potential, and drive positive organizational change.

    When she’s not working, Fumi enjoys spending time with her 5-year-old daughter and Mexican husband in a trilingual environment that blends Japanese, Spanish, and English.

  • Yumiko Kuwana

    RESEARCH ANALYST

    Yumiko is a Research Analyst at Bloom Human Capital Strategy, where she plays a key role in driving strategic decision-making by conducting in-depth market research and competitive analysis. With a strong background in business administration and HR, Yumiko has led cross-functional teams through impactful corporate projects, uncovering insights that support workplace innovation and organizational transformation.

    Previously in Japan, Yumiko spearheaded diversity training programs focused on empowering women and onboarding new employees, gaining valuable experience in creating inclusive and high-performing work environments. She specializes in identifying emerging trends in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sectors, using data-driven strategies to promote positive organizational change.

    Yumiko holds a degree in International Communications, specializing in communication strategies within international business contexts. She also earned a Global Business Certificate from the University of Washington, with a concentration in localization and globalization marketing. Outside of work, Yumiko enjoys exploring new cultures and sampling international cuisine.
